Holy Baptism

The Sacrament of Holy Baptism is observed often within our church community.  Adult baptism is a sacrament of proclamation for those who openly profess their faith.  Infant or Children's Baptism is celebrated when parents promise, before God and the community, to raise their child/children in the Christian faith, until that time when they may profess their faith for themselves through the act of Confirmation.  Baptism is an unrepeatable act, a covenant between God, the believer and the church community.

Infant and Adult Baptism is invited following a period of inquiry and intention, concurrent with discussions with one of the pastors.  Infant, Youth and Adult Baptism are offered as requested in accordance with the Worship Calendar.

Holy Communion

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is observed on the first Sunday of the month during each worship time.   At Fenton UMC, Holy Communion is open to all who believe in Jesus Christ and who respond to the words as the invitation is extended: "Christ our Lord, invites to his table all who love him, who earnestly repent of their sin and seek to live in peace with one another."
