United Methodist Men
The mission of the Fenton United Methodist Men is to provide opportunities for Men to get involved in the total life of the church. Many of the activities have provided opportunities for Men to grow spiritually and have provided a support network for each other. You have the power to join and bring new activities to the FUMM. All you need to do is attend and bring your ideas. Current activities of the FUMM include:
Monthy Business Meeting
- 1st Saturday at 8am in room 117 Dec 3
- 8:30am Breakfast
- 9am Keynote Speaker: None. Prepare for Christams Craft
Cooking
- Pasty Sales (next sale ==> Jan 21, 2012) to Support principle payment of the FLC mortgage
2011 total to date $5,700! Plus $1500 towards youth mission trip!
- Easter Sunrise & High School Graduate Breakfast
- Potato Dinner Benefit for the St Andrew Mission (2011 raised $1100!)
Building Muscle
- PET (Personal Energy Transportation) Project
- Hadley, MI on 3rd Thursday 8am
- Ypisilanti, MI as required Wednesday 8am
- Decorate Church for Christmas
- Salvation Army Bell Ringing (2011 raised over $10,300!)
Helping Others
- Supported by Strawberry Festival during August Fenton Art Fair
- Gideon Bible Distribution
- Flint District and Detroit Area Council UMM
- Other FUMC activities-Flood Buckets, Midwest Distribution Ctr, Food Baskets
