Fellowship Groups
These social groups provide individuals and couples opportunities to be come acquainted with one another in a casual environment. Relationships developed in these groups may help individuals to grow in their faith or just provide the support necessary to face life's challenges. The groups are varied, with different interests. All are welcome to join in the fun.
Dinner for Eight
Enjoy dining with others? This group includes couples and singles who get together four times throughout the year to dine together. Individual groups decide the times and dates that are convient for them. Creative dinner ideas include: picnics, potluck dinners, dinner theater, favorite restaurants and more. "Dinner for Eight" offers a great time for getting to know people that you miss on Sundays. Contact evacurtis@juno.com
Asbury Fellowship
The "Asburys" meet monthy, excluding the winter months, for various scheduled outings. They are Christians over 50 who meet socially to grow in Christ and help those in need. There will be no activities January and February. Please check the Home Page for regularly scheduled outings.
FUMC Family Campers
Come join the FUMC Family Campers for Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend campouts at Myers Lake United Methodist Campground in Byron. We reserve a group site and enjoy fellowship, food, campfires and worship. On Sunday, we invite the whole church to join us for a potluck dinner. The campground offers a sandy beach, swimming, playgrounds, game barn, basketball and baseball field and numerous (optional) planned activities for families.
