Habitat for Humanity

The Fenton United Methodist Church is an active participant in the Genesee County Habitat for Humanity Ministry.

Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religious to build houses together in partnership with families in need.  Habitat has built more than 250,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1 million people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter.

In addition to monetary support, the Fenton United Methodist Church has members who participate regularly on Habitat houses in Genesee County.  FUMC Work Days, in which a group from the church volunteers on a site, are scheduled monthly. Those interested in finding out more about the FUMC Work Days for Genesee County Habitat should contact coordinator Dave Windsor.

Upcoming Project:

This is a Habitat for Humanity project the church usually gets involved with each year. Usually we build a whole house; this year there's a little different twist to the project. We'll be doing an extensive repair to a home right in our own back yard on Shiawasse Street. Please contact site coordinator Juan Zuniga at jzuniga(at)geneseehabitat.org join a work team.
