The Fenton United Methodist Church is an active participant in the Fenton, Holly, Linden, Lake Fenton Area CROP Walk - a Church World Service event in which neighbors walk together to take a stand against hunger in our world. By walking together through Fenton, we raise awareness and funds for international relief and development as well as local hunger-fighting.
Walkers (or runners!) can choose to walk between 1 mile or 6.3 miles by following the CROP Walk signs posted through town. Participants are encouraged to solicit donations from sponsors (friends, relatives, co-workers, etc.). 25% of the donations remain in the local community, and the balance is used nationally and internationally.
This year's walk will be held Sunday, October 14. It will begin and end at Bush Park in Fenton. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. and the walk starts at 2:00 p.m. Registration may also be done online at the Church World Service link below.
